Routing means to navigate between various pages of the same website or applicaiton. Routing Functionality helps in doing so. Say, there are various links in the navigation to go to the various pages of the website -- "home", "about", "contact", "changelogs" or "purchase history".
As the various pages in any application contain various information regarding different topics on different pages. There has to be a way to navigate to these pages. How to do that?
Here comes the 'aid of routing feature' of Angular. First we import the 'RouterModule' in the app.module.ts and also add it to the imports array. Then we further add the various link-paths and corresponding components to complete the configuration for our routes.
Later we add these paths on various anchor buttons to visit the various urls and get corresponding components loaded for them as defined earlier.
