Array Methods in JS

Following are the array Libraires:

Array Library Methods
S.No.NameDescriptionExamplesReference
concat()Adds 2 arrays
copyWithin()Replaces 1st parameter array value by 2nd parameter array value
every()Checks every array value against some function and returns true if condition is true for all array items
fill()Replaces all array items by the passed parameter value
filter()Filters out array values satisfying passed function
find()This method returns the value of the first element in the array that satisfies the provided testing function. Otherwise undefined is returned.
forEach()Funs a function for each of the array items one by one
indexOf()Finds the index of array item corresponding to passed parameter. If items is not present -1 is returned.
isArray()Returns true if variable represents array; false otherwise.
join()Returns a string concatinating or joining all array items separating them with the parameter passed.
lastIndexOf()Returns the last index in array where searched item is present. If not present then -1 is returned.
map()Creates a new array by calling a provided function on every element in the calling array.
pop()Removes last element of array and returns it.
push()This method adds new items to the end of an array and then returns the new length.
reduce()This method applies a function against an accumulator and each element in the array (from left to right) to reduce it to a single value.
reduceRight()This method applies a function against an accumulator and each value of the array (from right-to-left) to reduce it to a single value.
reverse()This method reverses an array. The first array element becomes the last and the last array element becomes the first.
shift()This method removes the first element from an array and returns that removed element. This method changes the length of the array.
slice()This method returns a shallow copy of a part of an array (depending on parameters passed) into a new array object. The original array is not modified.
some()This method tests whether at least one element in the array passes the test implemented by the provided function.
sort()This method sorts the elements of an array in place and returns the array. However, the sort is not necessarily stable and the default sort order is according to string Unicode code points.
splice() This method changes the contents of an array by removing existing elements and/or adding new elements.
toString()This method returns a string representing contents of an array.
unshift()This method adds one or more elements at the beginning of an array and returns the new length of the array.
valueOf()This method returns the value of array which is just the same as Array itself.
